Hillside House

The thoughtful intentionality behind this client-designed retirement home pays homage to the architectural character of the neighborhood while seamlessly connecting to its natural surroundings. Handcrafted stonework is complemented by the property’s exposed ledge, and the timber frame front porch and cedar shake siding offers a warm contrast to the dark green–stained board-and-batten accents.

Our scope focused on constructing the shell, allowing the owners the flexibility to complete the interior at their own pace and in alignment with their schedule. Built with efficiency in mind, the home features a double-wall system, mineral wool and blown-in cellulose insulation, Marvin windows throughout, and a custom oversized rear window designed to frame the expansive valley views.
